50 years ago, Mad Magazine had a parody of The Tortoise And The Hare, in which the tortoise was beaten at his own game by an ostrich, a python, and a lion. Then a snail challenged him to have a race to see which of them was the slowest in the forest.

Thanks for the chuckle. I love the eclectic nature of this strip, as well as the cartoonist’s sense of humor.

I think it’s funny how we all (or all I’ve met, anyway) tend to scale things against ourselves. I like spicy food up to about 3 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being high. Of course, my friends who like their spicy food at a 7 or 8 say I don’t like spicy food at all. My friends who like theirs at a 0 or 1 say I like spicy food, because I like it hotter than they do.
