I was reading copies of founding newspapers at a town centennial. There was a big ad telling of the advantages of cardboard boxes with molded paper separators over wooden barrels for shipping apples. They also had ads for lead arsenate insect control spray.
The first strip with the hot dame in it is outstanding in so many ways. Not the least is the way her skirt matches Bozo’s shirt. And that angle in panel two, all I can say is “hubba hubba!”

Say, there’s that recurring guy with an umbrella in the background scenes again. I wonder why that fellow was shown in the background a lot of strips.

Ah, the good ol’ days when dames kissed you for a mere flower.
Ah, the good ol’ days when you had to carry barrels for miles on foot, before mini trucks were invented.
And ah the good ol’ days when there were open manh… Wait, that can happens these days too.

Bozo might have a little problem with the skeeters after demolishing all those apples.

1 Bozo’s hooked.
2 Hard work hauling apples…or barrels.
