Lupin: The laundry is out of control. Lupin: We go now live to Elvis for more. Woman: Any luck fixing the washer? Elvis: SHHHHH Man: Nope. I'm going to check the wiring. Woman: Careful down in the dark! It's almost Halloween! Man: Hold down the fort, humming birds! Woman: Will do! Elvis: This just in: The Man has abandoned us. I'm the Man now. Lupin: Moving on. We're getting reports of one brave cat's continuing efforts to save us from the leaves. Puck: Ugh, he does this EVERY YEAR. Lupin: Kind of a slow news day. Laundry? Leaves? Elvis, can you comment on a cat's need for adventure? Elvis: Lupin, I have a family to consider now- Elvis: Okay, this part's new. Woman: Pucky honey, are you okay? Woman: You look like you've seen a ghost.

There’s a FARSIDE cartoon I really love showing a cat and dog in a living room near their humans. The cat is saying to the dog, “Stare at one part of the room and pretend you see something moving. That freaks the humans out.”

Hello everyone!! I signed in a little anxious today, as I always am when a holiday special begins on GoComics nowhere near the actual holiday… AND EVERYONE WAS SO NICE!! THE COMMENTS ARE SO FRIENDLY! AHHH!! Thank you so much, everyone!!!
I have some good news, and figured the Halloween special would be a great time to share it. We are working on syncing up the original site and the GoComics site, meaning that soon the comic will be the same on BOTH sites!
What will this look like? This Halloween special will run Mondays and Thursdays, as usual. When it ends, on the next Monday (April 11, I believe) here on GoComics ‘Breaking Cat News’ will run DAILY. There will be a strip every day here until the archive runs out, and PRESTO! Both sites will be running brand new strips, on the same day. At that point it will go back to posting strips on Monday and Thursday.
We are still working on pitching this comic to newspapers, and as that happens, you will really, actually, truly get new strips every day… But that is still a little ways in the future. First, let’s sync up the comic to be new on both sites all the time!
Imagine tuning in here on GoComics to see new ‘Breaking Cat News’ about the summer… During Summer! Imagine a Groundhog Day special ON GROUNDHOG DAY! And then pinch yourself, because it is going to happen! I hope to have both sites synced up sometime mid summer.
The BREAKING CAT NEWS EVERY DAY bonanza should last a little over a month. There is about a 30-40 strip gap between the two sites right now.

All right! Synced! I know current’s on the website, but to be out of sync while reading is not good for my ocd, even if it is mild. Synced! And daily even if only for a month or so, GREAT!!! Love the strip, Georgia, even if I rarely comment. To see that icon coming up in the lineup after Bob the Squirrel just gives me such a lift. Such a beautiful, gentle, funny, sad story.

Congratulations Georgia on the synced thing! I know how it is when your cat looks at something you can’t see. I will be in bed reading and my black cat Sheba will come and look at “something” behind me. Living in Texas, we have a lot of things that can wander in like a large roach or a little lizard, and I always have to get up and make sure nothing is on the wall over my head. It’s usually nothing, but I’d rather be safe than sorry! lol >^OO^<
