This is why, when food is in a location the cats can get to easily, there is a Guard Person stationed. We don’t need to be hauling the cat out of the turkey every time we enter the room, after all!
(gasp) Will the Man face the wrath of the Prince of Pounce, the Duke of Puke, the Siamese You Cannot Please, Mommy’s Special Boy???! I shudder to watch! Who dares come between Elvis and the tasty glory of peppery chicken?
I’m not sure if it would be funnier to pose Spork-wielding Elvis alongside Puck or Lupin in homage to Grant Wood’s “American Gothic” painting, or to give him a red spork and a set of red horns for a future Halloween costume. (If Elvis is a devil, Lupin gets to be the angel, and Puck maybe gets cherub wings and a quiver to be Cupid?)
The “Guess What Chicken Hut” reminds me of a long-time ago (and probably regional) franchise with the motto “Don’t cook tonight — call Chicken Delight!”

Elvis sees his duty clear. If The Man leaves the chicken undefended, Elvis has to defend it with the spoon vampire.
