Lupin no, don’t corrupt today’s youth! Poor sweet iggy has already joined a violence gang. Before this Lupin was just a one man gang. It’d be midly heartwarming if he wasn’t training another cat to destroy everything. Next he’ll be teaching him to harass Elvis about getting older and just in general.

Honestly, this is probably pretty sedate compared to Iggy’s usual company. The mentor role does look good on Lupin, and Iggy should just be glad he did not go invisible when he had the chance.

A friend sent me the most amazing lamp, completely handcrafted by her — black cat base, leopard-print shade, hand-crocheted decorations, and when you turn it on, little fan dancers appear in silhouette on the shade. It’s currently locked in my closet because Bartholomew.

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

Lupinium: Iggy Shipwright, how would you like to learn the art of Thwump?

Iggy: Isn’t that more something Ora Z would do?

Lupinium: Not at all. Thwumping is a time-honored tradition. It’s both fun and skillful.

Iggy: Sure. When do we start?

Lupinium: We can start right away. The first thing is be aware of your surroundings.

    Iggy: Ok.

Lupinium: Now we start like this…

    Iggy: Oh, hi, Louie-Nour!

Louie-Nour: Hey there! Looks like you and Lupinium are thwumping.

    Iggy: That’s right.

Louie: Well, I’ll see you later then.

Lupin, Lupin, Lupin. Everyone knows that the first the first thing a cat should do is to unroll the entire roll of toilet paper off of the spool, then the towels.

These are foster kittens. I wonder if Lupin wants to give his humans a reason for them not to be offered a forever home.

I heard the sound of rustling boxes and watched as the lamp fell over in slow motion and the glass shade burst into a living-roomful of fragments. I immediately evacuated both cats to the outdoors and began the tedious cleanup process. Despite multiple vacuum runs I would find tiny glass shards for the next two days.

It was my own fault. I had accidentally built a wobbly tower of haphazardly stacked cardboard boxes waiting to be burst and cut up. Colette was only doing a stability test when the accident happened. I had no one to blame but myself.

The hardest part was finding a plain, white, glass replacement shade for the antique lamp. :)

Someday there will be a cat-proof house with kevlar upholstery, titanium lamps and a maid to put the towels back on the racks. :)

Until then, enjoy a little chaos in your day.

Here is the Tom update. he had to spend another night at the Vets. His surgery site is healing well, I am so glad to hear this.He is still in a lot of pain and discomfort so they are giving him the good stuff. A morphine and ketamine combo. His kidney values went up in the next blood test. They are still unsure if it is the blunt force trauma causing it or if there is something else going on. they won’t know till he starts healing a bit more.It is the same for any spine and/or nerve damage. He has to heal more before they can assess this, but his pain responses are all good and the Vet is hopeful. However, his tail is still not strong, but it is improving, so, again we have to wait for him to heal a bit more before we know.I am now eagerly awaiting today’s update. it is 8 am here at the moment.I am cautiously optimistic for my lovely Tom.

I’m surprised the undead didn’t pick up on this from the werewolf. Maybe Lupin has powers we’re not aware of. Should we see if he’s the reincarnated version of Boris Karloff’s character in that old Abbott and Costello movie, Abbott and Kostello Meet the Killer, Boris Karloff?

Wondering if anyone besides me remembers the Jetsons episode where Rosie malfunctions after eating a defective lug nut and repeats “a place for everything, and everything in its place!” over and over. That’s the mental picture accompanying my viewing of the second panel.

Check out “Museum Gel” or “Museum Glue”. I think I saw that suggested in one of Jackson Galaxy’s videos.
