That’s an awfully large bass…. he needs instrument clearance….better give him some space.

GodreyD…. from yesterday…Gosh!Nothing personal taken from any of that…nor offense, nor any such thing.

In fact, I said I knew people thought they were paying a compliment, even if I didn’t take it that way.

And in this case, it was Dan Thompson’s “honor” I was defending, not my own….and I don’t even know how he feels about the comparisons.Good chance he doesn’t mind at all.

Nor am I as hurt by them, myself, as I may have sounded…I just get a bit annoyed at being told I sound like Pastis, or I learned from Pastis…when, hey, they could be asking whether maybe he learned from me!(Yeah right, I should be so lucky. No way I could teach him anything…it’s just that I started first.)

I have seen some cartoonists, though, who don’t appreciate references to other cartoonists, especially suggestions that they learned their humor from someone else. Some even get a bit testy.

Meanwhile, don’t worry…I bought a LOT of my jokes at the fire sale, after that big asteroid hit….

You remember… there was that huge firestorm, and then we didn’t see any more dinosaurs?

What’s he playing? Is it the rebel base the empire seeks.

What ? Me Worried ? As usual, it depends on definition. The cantina band was playing something very like rag, which contributed to jazz.
