I can “hold on for one more day” if Ms. Wilson isn’t doing a Carnie hustle on me! ;D

I wasn’t quite sure about this one at first – then I saw a sign. Can they hold on for one more day? No. They want service today.

I still don’t see what the connection is. Get out of your car and pump your gas. If someone won’t take your payment now, it’s free.

I don’t get it. If I have to think this hard for a comic… well, it’s no longer a comic.

Another group I’ll have to forget again after trying to understand this joke. “Route 66” famous road-trip romance route. “Hold on” – reference to bathroom stop? Clouds ahead – blues reference? Convertible – “the open road” . Left hand drive – American dominance of the automotive industry. Sorry, cannot figure out how to deconstruct a gas pump. :)
