I wasn’t quite sure about this one at first – then I saw a sign. Can they hold on for one more day? No. They want service today.

I still don’t see what the connection is. Get out of your car and pump your gas. If someone won’t take your payment now, it’s free.

Another group I’ll have to forget again after trying to understand this joke. “Route 66” famous road-trip romance route. “Hold on” – reference to bathroom stop? Clouds ahead – blues reference? Convertible – “the open road” . Left hand drive – American dominance of the automotive industry. Sorry, cannot figure out how to deconstruct a gas pump. :)
