Brave Sir Robin ran away. (“No!”) Bravely ran away away. (“I didn’t!”) When danger reared it’s ugly head, He bravely turned his tail and fled. (“no!”)

Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about (“I didn’t!”) And gallantly he chickened out. Bravely taking (“I never did!”) to his feet, He beat a very brave retreat. (“all lies!”)

Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin! (“I never!”)

He who fights and runs away, lives to hire a spin doctor, claim discrimination, demand a rematch, and fight another day.

Castle Anthrax, anyone? Sir Galahad was certainly bold and decisive there…

Other lines Dirk could have had in the last panel:1. “There you go again.”2. “Apple and oranges!”3. “My steamed opponent is misunderestimating my certitudification.”

That strategy worked well for the Russians in 1812.

He’s just honoring the noble pirate tradition of fighting to run away.
