I am still hoping some one will fill me in on the detail as to how the big bang got started, meaning who put in all of this explosive gas or what ever blow up?
A few minutes after the Bang: mutual lepton/anti-lepton annihilation leaves slight residue of leptons. This confirms the universe will be matter, not anti-matter. But universe too small and dense and much too hot for atoms to form.
For next 370,000 years whole universe is opaque, boiling plasma stew of atomic nuclei, disconnected electrons, photons and leptons. Slowly very slowly cooling.

Are there any good dirty jokes papered over in that diary?

Do not light a match unless you want to cause the penultimate bang.

Yep that sounds like the big Fart is about to burst forth and stink up the universe..

Since expansion is speeding up, perhaps we are still relatively near the beginning of the explosion, or big bang.

One interesting story about the creation of the Universe can be found in the pages of Jack L. Chalkers’s The Well of Souls. Good book.
