Oktopodia are actually quite bright and loving, …in a fishy sort of way (they are, to be precise, cephalopods). And they taste good, too, with a fine mustard sauce, though the texture can be a bit rubbery….
That drawing of Broomie was clearly done by someone who knows nothing about knitting. When you knit, you don’t just use the points of the needles. You have a row of stitches hanging from one needle (and part of what you’re knitting hangs from the stitches), and you knit them, one by one, onto the other needle.
I must admit, tho, that’s the way knitting is usually portrayed.

Funny - I just watched an old Doctor Who that featured a monster just like that dude - & every bit as plssed off……
