There are a lot of us who truly can NOT afford pets. There are pet deposits, shots, neutering, pet illnesses causing vet bills.
I got some pet rats thinking they were hardy critters, but found out they need to see a vet just as much as other pets.They make excellent pets, the can’t get rabies, they are clean and don’t smell If the cage is kept clean, and they really like people.
