This is just dumb. That is NOT how coupons work at all. I save a LOT of money by clipping coupons. You do not have to “spend a huge amount of money.” With the economy the way it is everyone is foolish to not use coupons for products they already buy.

Excellent marketing ploy, like the supermarket gas cards.

I gave up on coupons when the cost of the Sunday paper exceeded it’s value to me. I rarely buy processed food anyway.

Coupons force you to buy a certain size product or a add on that you dont need. They also have a expiration date and are hard to find unless you have a paper. They force you to buy what THEY want you to have not what YOUwant.

I only collect & use coupons on those products I normally buy. Sometimes I can buy them when they’re on sale so that increases the savings so it’s plain foolish not to use them.

Coupons are good if you plan to buy the item anyway. However, if is is something you would not buy, then they are worthless.

I clip coupons, but only for things I buy already. I give the rest to others who use other things.

Most coupons are useless, for reasons cited above—they are for items I don’t buy and don’t want, or they are for items that are too expensive even with the coupon. Occasionally I find a coupon for something I do normally buy, and then I will use it. But that is not a frequent, much less regular, event. Mostly, coupons are a marketing ploy.

I finally gave up on them…by the time I needed the item, they had usually expired.
