I have a plastic cup in my car that normally gets the change for drive-throughs, not that a visit to Cook Out once every few months, collects a massive amount. It goes into Salvation Army red buckets with some paper money every Christmas.
I remember back when I had a retail job one of my coworkers came into work shaking his head in disbelief. When I asked him what was wrong he said he’d overheard 2 panhandlers talking in front of the store and one of them was complaining that he’d only made $20 in the past hour, at the time we were only making $10 an hour working at the store.

Who ever has “spare” change. If I didn’t think I might need it later I would have left it in the tip jar.

Either very clever Broomie out-panhandles the panhandler, or very dumb Broomie just narrowly escaped a beat-down from a thuggish panhandler….
