Why would anyone buy something from a company that doesn’t know the definition of Final Notice. That’s a clue not to buy anything from them. If I had Broomie’s Zap power, I’d keep Zaping them till the stars no longer exist. And then Zap them some more. Yip yip yip yip yip
I get a kick out of the ones who say they are with the police asking for donations, I tell them that I am a police officer and we don’t solicit over the phone and that he should be ashamed of himself for impersonating a police officer. They hang up.
This is one of my pet peeves. I maintain my phone for my convenience, not for the convenience of telemarketers. Unless I’m expecting a call from a store, repair technician or someone, all the calls go to voicemail. If it is a telemarketer or a hang up, I block the number and report it as junk.
Robo calls I hang up – no point in saying anything.
Some so called charities are relentless – but I’ve successfully stopped them calling me. Since they don’t have to use the Do-Not-Call list, they are obligated to maintain a private do not call list. I ask them to put me on their private do not call list else penalties of up to $11,000 will be incurred. Unfortunately many spam calls come from outside of USA and they don’t care about any do not call lists. I just tell them they are NEVER getting what they want by calling my number so they are wasting their time.
Ah, yes, the old car warranty scam. Right up there with homeowner’s warranty. My house is over 100 years old; my car is a 1994 Lumina. These people are idiots.
I’ve seen a video on fb, where the girl answers in various ways: “Oh, thank God, you called, there’s blood all over…” or “You’ve reach the satanic hotline, how can I send you to hell today?” or “You’ve reached the FBI hotline …” Most of them seem to hang up on her before she finished her spiel!
And if they ask, “Is this so-and-so” – or at any point – NEVER say “Yes” because they are recording you and can use your response of “Yes” as you giving them permission to do to you whatever they’re plotting. You can reply with “Who’s calling?” or “I’m not interested.” Just don’t ever say the word “Yes”

If he’d called about her broom, now that would have been different!

That’s a sure sign it’s SPAM or a plain old Scam, as they don’t care if you are on the Do Not Call List or not.

I need some help with understanding: what does it mean to “throw in the sun”?

I get those calls, too. I do not even have a vehicle.

Broomie should just zap them through the phone line so that they don’t ever call again!

I ask if they’ll cover my 1963 Corvette. Or I say they’ve called the Pentagon and which of our 35,000 vehicles do they want to cover?

The only time I answer a phone number I don’t know is when I’m expecting a service person to come to my house within the hour.

They call on a spoofed number, so why would they care if you’re on the do not call list? There’s no way to trace them.
