Well, I understand Broomie. I get more agressive watching cooking shows than watching CSI and other crime things. Especially the competetive ones and Gordon Ramsay.
Some of the competitions on the Food Network get pretty fierce. At least Chopped is real. Iron Chef and Beat Bobby Flay are the professional wrestling shows on FN.
My wife used to watch all those cooking shows. I don’t care for the least for them. It’s not like I’d learn to cook better and it’s masochistic to watch people eat “delicious” food while you sit and watch salivating like an old, hungry hound dog. Wet clean up in the den!
I don’t watch any of them, but from what I’ve heard and read of some of those cable-TV cooking shows and their hosts, Broomie’s enthusiastic cheers are not misplaced, in some cases anyway.

Actually, I’d like to do that with Michael Pollan.

I’ve always said golf would be much more popular if it involved tackling.
