You can take a coring of the tree and can see a sample of the rings/layers of the tree without having to cut it down.

According to what Broomie has said previously, she’s at least 1500 years old.

Cut it down just to see how old it is? Then it won’t age anymore.

Once you hit a thousand, birthdays become irrelevant

Or drill a hole in it and extract a core, though you aren’t guarenteed reaching the actual center that way in a tree with that shape.

I love this tree – no way I’d ever let anyone cut it down!
