Here’s a hint to all my cyberfriends: To stop your nose getting sore in cold season, don’t bother with tissues with lotion in them. Instead, clean the skin of your nose with clear water or a damp wipe, every time you wipe your nose (or as often as you can). It’s the residual mucus on the skin that burns it and makes it chafed and sore, not the wiping with the tissue.
