    where’s the mom surely she would never leave a kid like alone in the house and what if there was going to be presents brought home, it not as if calvin will get to keep them now

    We all have our Dad’s phone number, but I wouldn’t leave a child alone in a house with a phone if he or she is younger than at least 5. If Calvin was younger he could have accidentally called “emergency services”.
