Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for April 20, 1988
Transcript:
Hobbes: Hey, these instructions are in three different languages. Calvin: Uh oh, I got glue on my hands. Hobbes: It starts in english, but then it goes into french and spanish. Calvin: This stuff is worse than mozzarella cheese. Hobbes: It's hard to believe this model is for ages six and up. Calvin: Yecchh. What a mess. Hobbes: You have to be tri-lingual just to read the directions. Calvin: I hope mom likes this newspaper on the floor, because it's sure not going anywhere.

You’d think Hobbes would be smart enough to realize the instructions are repeated in two different languages, not that they continue in another language.

It’s always an interesting outcome when Calvin takes on a building project of any kind, particularly model planes.
