Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for February 08, 1991
Transcript:
Calvin: I like sledding down hills, but I hate having to climb back up! It's too much work! It's boring! It's slow! I know! I'll sit on the sled and you pull me up, ok? Run as fast as you can, and zigzag around trees and stuff! Even my friends don't do what I want.

Really, Calvin? You really only have one friend who isn’t even human, and the only other human you interact with other than your parents is a girl who’s more of a general acquaintance than a friend. And even then, you give her every reason in the world to hate your guts. I think Calvin has been stuck in his own little world so much that he doesn’t know how to be social. doesn’t help that he’s an only child

If Hobbes had pulled him up, then we’d know for sure he’s real.
