well, no. Actually bats are mammals.

BATS FLY. THEY ARE UGLY AND HAIRY. BATS = BUGS.

which is directly lifted from a C&H strip: Calvin is asked to write a report on bats, so he starts with the “fact” that Bats = Bugs.

On the other hand, Calvin likes to imagine himself as a bug, which explains this strip

Bats are an integral part of mother nature and what science has learned from them. I can refer to todays strip of as another great,imaginative,realalistic one.

All that bat info, yet he thought they were bugs. LOL.

Why do Calvin’s parents keep taking him to eat at a nice restaurant?
