Calvin sure would be a lot of help if that actually was a disembodied hand attacking someone.

    Where’s Hobbes?

Give Calvin’s father ‘a hand’ for his performance!

Is Calvin’s faint actually a feint (trick)?

It was really Calvin that ‘choked’ under pressure.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love. I John 4:18

Rakkav - Calvin does, I think this strip marked the first time he heard of Hamster Huey. Unfortunately for Dad, he’ll pay the price in years to come when Calvin continues to demand Hamster Huey at bedtime!

Ah. I was about to say so, but 1) wasn’t sure if this was his first time with Hamester Huey and 2) if so, didn’t want to spoil it for the newbies.

So when Calvin wakes up in the middle of the night screaming “HE HANDS GOT ME!” (and he will) Does mom nudge dad and say “Your fault, you get this one) or does she kick him out of bed out right and onto the floor yelling “You did this!!!”

JonD17: I like your quote - although I know it is not from Samuel 1:1. I like it so much I tried to locate its source and ended up signing up for this GoComics so I can write to you…. Did you just make it up? It is rather profound.

Friar, Samuel is my best friend, mentor and all around very important person in my life. I got that quote from him; I cannot attest to its actual origin. A nd thank you for your response to it. You may be interested in our website; www.coloursofliving.com

This is one of my two favorite “Dad” comix. The other was when Calvin demanded that Dad read “Hamster Huey” again and again and again. Dad finally “doctored” the story and left Calvin and Hobbes both wide-eyed.

Hobbes’ last line was priceless: “I wonder what the villagers ever did with Hamster Huey’s head?”
