Don’t try to con us, Hobbes. We’re smart enough to see the political undertones with the so-called “snow goons” and the tyranny symbolized by Calvin’s dad towards the masses (Calvin and Hobbes). “Geez, did I get it all?,” he asked with a sheepish grin.

Calvin don’t worry dad will explain this to you after work.

I expect the Dad will be less angry than amused by morning; it’s quite likely that he did a lot of thee things when he was Calvin’s age, too. Where did Calvin come up with his genetic makeup? And if it wasn’t Dad, it could have been Mom … which would be even more interesting. Not unlike another contemporary strip, hunh?

As long as we are to believe Hobbes in the comic strip is alive, why can’t Hobbes, our commentator, be the real deal? It’s just an extension of the fantasy!

Bullwinkle56 and if we are extended our fantasy, anything that we say to hobbes is on topic!!!! And anything that Hobbes says is on topic!!! We have an answer to sweetbill and his issue with us not being on topic! Thanks!!! :)

I think Calvin just got away with murder!!

Dad needs time to get the feeling back in his extremities before dealing with this situation. Sleep on it, Dad, and try to find a way to laugh about it.

Hopefully dad will be able to get his car out of the garage and onto the street to go to work. If not, Calvin may just be in for an even bigger punishment. But Calvin is right, who could sleep anticipating what is yet to come. And when you are a kid time moves so slowly.

All night poor Calvin will be thinking that they’re coming to take me away in the morning.

Somehow, I don’t think Calvin’s dad cares whether or not Calvin can get back to sleep.

I wonder what the neighbors think about this little escapade, and many others!

Aww, even through his anger, Dad was sensitive enough to bring Hobbes in too, so he would be safe from any Goonies that survive.

Hi ♥Kab♥ Buch, I remember watching the pilot episode when I was a kid (guess that dates me now). I bought the entire series on DVD, and watch a episode every once-in-a-while.

Simple, clean humor from simpler times. :-)

I remember wondering what was going to happen to me and feeling very misunderstood at the time. But I learned my parents were pretty understanding for the most part of my escapades and I was grateful.
