I’ve had dreams much like this one.

This is what Hell will be like… or maybe adulthood.

welcome to the real world, calvin. uninspiring school, to uninspiring job, to uninspiring life. no wonder us schools are 17th, 23rd, 50th.

I love that cute chest of drawers in Calvin’s room.

Can’t recall at the moment who it was, said, My father told methat each day I should do two things I dislike. a precept I havefollowed religiously, for each day I have got up and I have goneto bed.

Ehm…I have to confess with embarrassment that I didn’t completely get it.

Calvin has a raincloud over his head. Maybe Miss Wormwood will deluge him with homework!

I hope Calvin didn’t forget his drawers! He had better check the bureau of investigation.

Annoying. Please stop.

You know, I actually checked out Heavenly Nostrils. I even liked it. But your continued annoying endorsement of that strip, your subtle jabs at Calvin and Hobbes, and your failure to even refer to this comic strip correctly are causing me to want to stop reading Heavenly Nostrils. You’re being counter productive.

I still have a phone like that. Yes, it hangs on my wall and yes, it has buttons but it’s still a full-sized Bakelite Special. I may be the last person on earth to get a cell phone. (And when the rest of you are assimilated by the Borg thereby and they take you away, I’ll just smile, wave, be grateful for no more phone calls and read Calvin and Hobbes all day.)

The first thing that’d come to my mind if the “school bell” didn’t stop ringing is that it’s a fire drill, though Calvin looking to the side in the fifth panel may indicate him checking if it’s that.

Poor Poor Calvin.

Hope it isn’t a Monday on that strip. His face is sooooo cute in the third panel.

“Nostrils” is good, Could become great in time. Can baby66boy1 be banned or censured for fouling up the chat every single day with his repetitive prattle?

I wish baby66boy1 would stop shilling for the unicorn strip-do they have a financial investment in it or what-it is becoming annoying

Just to play devil’s advocate (‘cause that’s what I do)……. I wonder how many of us have bounced over to HN just to see what all the hype was about.-Frankly, I wish there was a 7:30 me that would have gone in my place. It’s 5 minutes I wish I didn’t waste. I understand the push from b66, and there are parallels (read: flat-out copies) to C&H’s style, but the humor is childish and really meant for those that think that Garfield is the wittiest comic in the papers (hint: it’s not). C&H often takes breaks and just gives us flat out silliness, but we always know the smarter side is just a few panels away.-There is a difference between intelligent humor for intelligent minds, and banal humor written with big words to make those with simple minds feel smarter. Both can be funny and will appeal to different crowds. C&H and HN represent those two categories. You just have to decide which is your preference.

@ baby66boy1 – If you prefer “heavenly nostrils” by all means go there and leave us Calvin and Hobbs fans alone. Once again, I’ve checked out Heavenly Nostrils and, while it is an amusing strip, I don’t see it as being in the same class with Calvin and Hobbs. Calvin and Hobbs is right up there with Lil Abner and Pogo as an all time classic.

Does this mean we have not wrote our paper yet?

So I guess I’m not the only one with ringing in my ears.

I wasn’t missing the point. Your responses to timharrod and baby66boy1 indicate that you are annoyed with the rest of us for being annoyed. And I note that those of us who are annoyed with baby66boy1 asked him to stop without resorting to name calling, while you resort to calling us simpletons and mental midgets.

Sorry- when did I blame someone for what I like?

I’ve had that dream

I have done that myself. Alto I wasn’t dreaming about a long tiring day at school, for me it was work. You dream of working on a day that seems to never end, finly the buzzer goes off & you can’t get to the time clock to punch out. You get so frustrated it wakes you up & it’s time to get ready for work

Misspelling is grounds to ban someone from this site? Really? So, only educated English speaking individuals should feel free to comment here? Wow, what a warm friendly feeling that generates.

And now Calvin will be waiting for the school bell to ring.

Back when I was working in fast food, I once dreamed an entire shift, and then woke up and had to go to work. That was a long day.

When I was younger, I worked in construction. I remember spending a lot of time doing drywall, and at night I would dream of doing drywall. I can appreciate how Calvin feels about school. I guess some people enjoy doing drywall or going to school. Unlike Calvin, I enjoyed going to school. For me it was hell to do drywall, and then dream about it at night

Calvin has to wait a long time for the engagement ring and the wedding ring but the suffering goes on and on, like comments on todays C&H

This is Calvin on Mondays. Saturday mornings are entirely different. Looks like Hobbes is hidden somewhere in the bedding and getting some serious power sleep, a cat’s prerogative, of course…
