Snow in November!!??

And we don’t have to heat so much, it’s good for our purses! “He” is knowing the hole there, in the purses, I mean!!

The universe is an inefficient and wonderful place.

When I grew up in central (rural) Ohio, we’d have snow on the ground from before Thanksgiving until April.

Yes it must have to do with the work ethic.Cant believe I repeated that.

Darn global warming

Meanwhile, here in NY, we have already lost 6 days to a hurricane, and a Nor Easter. And snow season hasn’t even started! They are looking to cancel the February break, and if we get any snow days, school could go into July.

I live in Edmonton, Canada. In the past thirty years (I previously lived in Toronto), I have seen snow fall, at least once, in every month of the year – including July !!!.Now don’t get me wrong I also golf in Edmonton. I golf regulary from March to November every year.

I live in Sweden, where there usually is snowing this time of year, but not during the last ones. Btw, I love how Bill captures the bleak november colors in this strip.

In our many irrational moments, we all think our way is the best way.

It has been snowing in the High Sierra for a few days now, right on time!!

Only God can make Calvin sad!

I like the hand held out in the one panel… as if to give God a chance, as if there might be a possibility it’s falling, as if giving snow the benefit of doubt.

So efficient but no longer effective. And still no accountability.

how quaint, remember the times when we EXPECTED snow in november? You may have to be at least in your 20’s to have first hand experience of it.

Every so often, Calvin worries me. This is one of those times. He sounds like me back in the bad old days.

It was thirty-seven years ago today that a comic strip titled Calvin and Hobbes made its first appearance in newspapers, kicking off a ten-year chronicle of a boy and his somewhat imaginary tiger friend, and starting a love affair with the strip that has continued for a lot longer than the strip itself. I think we had snow in Pasadena twice in the 50’s and once in the 60’s. we’ve been spared since then.

It’s not snowing where I live either.

We have cold days until middle of June, sometimes there are cold days in July and August, too. when we are not lucky, it gets cold again in the middle of August, but certainly in September! There are few hot days!

You have it good, Calvin. Most of the time we don’t have snow ALL WINTER.

If you drive, there are two seasons – winter and construction.
