I was driving at night down Ill Rte 96 when a skunk was crossing the road, and another car was tailgaing me!So, I straddled him as best I could – but hear “clunk!” as I went over!Looked in rear view mirror, and it looked like something was spraying upwards as the next car went over!(I escaped the smell)
You might have wanted to point out that that bill didn’t cover what most people think of as roadkill (squirrels, possums, etc.), but large game animals like deer, elk, moose & game birds like pheasant. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/montana-bill-legalize-roadkill-dining/story?id=18549790#.UYKpZZGwU4g
I actually prefer Calvin’s slogan of “Be careful, or be roadkill” myself. It’s MUCH more interesting and descriptive-sounding than the boring old slogan his mom came up with!!!!! ;-)
I was doing a safety report with my friends in school and we couldn’t think of a good slogan. I was bored, flipping through my Calvin and Hobbes treasury, and I saw this. “Be careful or be roadkill.” Me and my friends prited out the picture and pasted it on our poster board. Everyone saw it, stared for a minute, and burst out laughing. I am now the funniest (and smartest) kid in my class. I got an A+ and it was super fun. Thank you Calvin!

Good message Calvin, but someone needs to teach the deer and antelope to read around here.

this is one of the rare times Calvin enjoys doing schoolwork. If they offered cash rewards instead of grades, he’d be a willing student.

Also, that Montana is not the first to consider that, 4 other states already do that.
