Hey, I do that with my boss all the time whenever she starts on one of her 20-minute rants!
I’m not sure what Hobbes means.
A hell of a good sprinter,because a lot of people will take a swipe at somebody making all those faces while staring at them.

I had a manager I wish I tried that on. She reminded me of that ancient city Babylon.
And yet everything someone might say goes in one ear and out the other.
Sounds like Calvin has been watching too many TV talk-show hosts.

I watch the moving mouth with fascination, then wonder what it was that came out later.
And guess where deaf people look long and hard while trying to break it up with an occasional glance up at the eyes to appear sociable while trying desperately to follow the conversation.
