Although not as diabolical as Bill Watterson (an impossible goal), the web comic Alice makes a good run for it.

The strip ran from Jun 1999 to Feb 2013 and is a fun read.

Alice’s view of reality, like Calvin’s, is a bit different from the rest of us.

Calvin’s lucky it didn’t snow as it did here yesterday, else he’d still be a shrimp compared to the snowpeople around here.

That reminds me of something Isaac Asimov said in a book somewhere, that legends of giants all around the world might be explained by childhood memories of grownups towering over you. ;)
