I guess that’s childhood double jeopardy in the 1st panel. Used to be, misbehave in school and the teacher would discipline you first and then the parents when you got home, oh boy!

Hobbes was a bigger role model for me in my youth than Calvin was. I still take a lot of Hobbes’ philosophy with me today.

Except in self-defense.

Interesting how children were so much better behaved back when corporal punishment (properly administered) was more accepted.

Unfortunately Hobbes doesn’t have enough common sense for both of them… :-(
