Does Dad’s life insurance policy have a double indemnity clause for eaten by tiger?

I don’t even know why Calvin’s parents dragged him along to this wedding in the first place. To me a wedding isn’t exactly the best place for a little spitfire like Calvin.

I assume that one of the people getting married is a relative of Calvin’s Mom as she seems to be more interested in the ceremony than the Dad is. Just look at that scowl she gives him in the first frame.

I don’t remembering that they Hobbes-proofed the house before leaving. So he probably won’t have problems finding something. But I do wonder what the house will look like.

Reminds me of the strip where Calvin is awakened by Hobbes talking in his sleep about tuna fish sandwiches. Poor Calvin is afraid to fall asleep—next to a hungry tiger! Of course Hobbes would feel bad if he ate his little buddy, but we couldn’t really blame him. Tigers are creatures of flawless instinct. That’s why we love them.

Calvin’s obsession with Hobbes got me thinking about what I thought about when I was Calvin’s age. It was quite refreshing to remember those carefree days of no responsibilities. Enjoy the problems of youth Calvin, your life will never be the same.

Poster on my wall in college: “It is somehow reassuring to contemplate tigers in the abstract…as it were and/or fortunately is.”

One of the most commonly heard expressions at a wedding is from the friends of the parents and older relatives: “I remember when you were just a little kid.”

I finally got to say that at my older sister’s wedding.

Bartholomew Orso. No one will keep Clavin for 2 days. The kennel refused to have him back after the last incident.

Love Mum’s face glaring at Dad yawning in the 1st panel.

Feel so sorry for Calvin being stuck at a yawny-yawny wedding with his best friend stuck at home.

I feel like Hobbes probably ate all the sardines in the house.

I think Calvin would have been happy to learn that his dad was just as bored as him

Dad yawning and mom scowling in the first panel absolutely set the seal on this one.
