So respect for his father’s personal property means nothing to you? Calvin needs to learn that he is not the center of the universe, and that other people have rights, too.
Sure, Dad…ignore Calvin’s creativity and hard work making the flip book, that’s not as important as the fact that it was YOUR book. Had I been the father at this point, I would have praised him and then bought myself another blank notebook and one for Calvin to use as well.
My three-year-old daughter did the same thing to one of my textbooks when I was in college. Seems cute looking back on it, but didn’t seem so cute at the time.
