Spiff looks sooo cool when he bounces.

Cartoon characters are so durable that they can fall down the stairs without getting hurt.

Calvin’s ability to continue his Spiff adventures no matter what happens in “real life” has always amazed me, and this one was always one of my favorites, for the last panel.

if your stairs are steep, and not level, you will fall the stairs. if the stairs are certain carpet, you will fall. you could add borders and non-slip areas, that may help.

A man drives past a deli that has a sign: " One hundred dollars if we can’t make any sandwich you can name." The man goes in and asks for an elephant ear sandwich. A few minutes later, the server comes back with a crisp new hundred dollar bill. “Aha!” says the man. “No elephant ears in the kitchen, huh?” “It’s not that,” says the server, “Cook says he is not going to cook an elephant this late at night for one lousy ear sandwich.”

you know, “earthling” could technically apply to any life form from the planet earth, which includes cows.

Yep. Parents are the most sarcastic people on the planet.

Actually, when your children are young and impressionable, they are irritated at how stupid their parents are!

Surprisingly, when they turn into young adults, they are amazed at how much their parents have learned…

I love Calvin’s line in the last panel. “Sarcastic alien.” One never hears that phrase enough.
