I seem to remember one episode where Calvin’s father takes him camping and, much to Calvin’s disgust, wants to teach Calvin how to filet the fish the father caught.

The first two panels are funnier than the rest of the strip. It’s like a daily strip, unrelated to the Sunday storyline, nestled into the Sunday strip.

I believe that is called rationalizing.

Did you know earthworms are invasive species in much of the United States and Canada? People fishing with them are asked not to release their leftover worms.
