When Calvin’s not actively trying to annoy her, Susie and Calvin do tend to get along better than most characters in the strip.

Perhaps grandma will find it funny, too!

When I was a kid, photographers always took away my glasses for school pictures. So of course I squinted. Then Mom complained I wasn’t photogenic.

Suze looks cute as a button with the bow (Hey, “Buttons and Bows”!)

Each of you is right, and it is those aspects of any work of fiction that make us love the characters. It is beyond me how anyone can do it within the confines, and under the pressures of, a daily comic strip space for a month, never mind XX years.

Back then mom’s made children look great for school picture. Now days not so much. For mine that age I tried to make mine look great for picture day.
