Like being an adult is any better…

Just go to your dentist and see what they have to say.

Oh Lord it’s hard to be humble

When you’re perfect in every way

I can’t wait to look in the mirror

Cause I get better looking each day

To know me is to love me

I must be a hell of a man

Oh Lord It’s hard to be humble,

But I’m doing the best that I can

Tigers are too magnificent to be humble!

Why is Calvin complaining? He can’t even listen to his own parents.

Do this, don’t do that, can’t you read the sign?

Then you grow up and you have to do the same stuff all on your own. Some folks never manage it.

Calvin, the someone telling you what to do every day only gets worse as an adult!

I remember when I couldn’t wait to be grown up so no one could tell me what to do…

Be thankful Calvin… More people tell you what to do and what not to do when you’re an adult, and not doing what they tell you to do would be a million times worse than a scolding/spanking.

It is hard to be humble when you are so great!

If Saturdays are bath day for Calvin when is it bath day for Hobbes? Hmm.

While the occasional sloth bear might get lucky enough to tell a tiger what to do, a full grown elephant will most definitely tell a tiger what not to do.

You tell that little pipsqueak, Hobbes. You notice there are no lions [king of beasts – Hah!] where the tigers rule!!

Calvin, kids younger than you have learned how to say, “You’re not the boss, of me.”

When we’re adults, we still don’t get a whole lot of control over our lives. You’ll find that out one day.

I believe our lives are planned out for us the moment we’re born.
