Now I know. I must be connected somehow with Hobbes. Every night I wake up and stretch turn from one side to the other, sleep again a little bit and stretch and turn……it’s a torture!!!

Cats are nature’s poster child for narcolepsy.

One of mine yawned the other day — not a fierce yawn, but one of those sleepy yawns cats occasionally do where they seem unable to muster even enough strength to part their jaws. It’s an endearing yawn, indeed … and every bit as contagious.

I’ve always loved Watterson’s drawings of Hobbes being a feline. Great stuff!

between this and today’s Marmaduke (https://www.gocomics.com/marmaduke/2019/08/11?ct=v&cti=2208697), I suddenly feel the need to take a nap!

This reminds me so much of my late cat, Oreo. Especially the way he yawns, stretches, arches and walks in a circle before lying down.

Hatha yoga was said to have been developed by Prince Hatha who observed cats stretching. He used the stretches to calm his restless body.

Almost kind of looks like my cat.

What, no toasty warm sunshine spot, might as well go back to sleep and wait.

And when the cat does that but then curls up in your lap it is illegal to disturb it.

Aaaaand, now I’m yawning.

I’d hate to read this at breakfast when I’m still waking up.

Suffer from that everyday.

I never laughed so much until I got the first C&H book. Can’t start the day without it.I also love the various drawing styles of other comic artists.
