Never noticed Calvin rubbing his hands together in a smug way in the third panel until now. That’s a fitting little subtle detail.

I wouldn’t want to be in Calvin’s shoes the Rosalyn finally gets in, if she does. And I’ll bet 10 to 1 she does.

Rosalyn’s college education fund is going to get a large donation tonight.

I hope she gets at least $200 an hour for babysitting Calvin.

You crossed the line Calvin… never, ever look in a lady’s purse without her expressed consent.

You would think that Calvin’s parents would have given Rosalyn a spare key for emergencies like this one.

As I said yesterday, Calvin’s thinking much further ahead than usual and even thinking ahead of Hobbes. He just isn’t thinking of when his parents come home. If he thought that far ahead he’d have to submit to Rosalyn and they would be no fun for him or for us.

I’ve read every Calving cartoon ever made so it seems as if I remember the outcome here; some of you can probably guess but no spoilers from me. One of the best cartoons ever made!

One of those “seemed like a good idea at the time” moments which are a lot funnier when they happen to children rather than adults.

She should have a rock be acquainted with the window.

Roz should kick the door in and blame it on Calvin. I think his parents knowing him well would seriously consider it.

Mrs. Baker rarely leaves me by myself.

Note that all of this is taking place after 6:30, when Calvin was put to bed. Must be summer.l

Calvin is the way he is because his parents have never spanked him. If he got a red bottom, he’d never be cruel to his sitter like this. On the other hand, we wouldn’t have a strip, either.

They probably agree with her. After all they have to live with the little monster all the time.

I would guess that his neighbours only wish that someone would knock the little bugger off. Then they would get some peace and quiet. :P

Calvin – you are such a little twerp! I hope your parents provide some punishment that will make you think twice about ever doing something like this again, but I have my doubts that will happen.

Calvin’s not one to rest on his laurels. Once he’s got her locked out, he escalates. It’s really a wonder that nobody’s put him out of their misery yet.

Boy, is Calvin going to pay for this.

That comment in the last label rubs salt on the wound. You are doomed today Calvin in case Rosalyn is able to break in.
