Calvin would really be bugged out if those were three pages from “Scientific American.” They use a smaller typeface and one needs to think about what one has read. It’s good for exercising the brain.
Actually Calvin is highly intelligent with a off the chart creativity level, similar to Einstein. The problem is traditional schools cannot cope with highly intelligent people like him.
This was made even worse by “No Child Left Behind” which treated children as if they all had the same potential and wound up dumbing things down for everybody.
