I’m guessing his mom already caught it previously because she doesn’t seem to be too concerned about him being near her.

Chicken pox is not zoonotic, so Hobbes (in fact, all animals) has nothing to fear from Calvin.

Be kinda embarrassing for a tiger to be associated with anything chicken.

Well, now that I think about it, Hobbes is an imaginary friend Tiger. Maybe he can catch sympathetic Chicken Pox. I don’t think he would be very sympathetic if he did though.

Not that Calvin is ever easy to care for, but the next week or so will be a real headache for Mom-Dad gets to go to work; lucky man.

Careful tigers may not get chicken pox but people can get them twice!

I dunno. Given the itching, those claws are starting to look pretty good. I didn’t even have a bad case when I had mine, all those years ago, but it did ruin a year’s worth of otherwise perfect attendance at Sunday School.

Hobbes, just be glad you don’t live in the Velveteen Rabbit era, where sick kids had all their toys burned.

For a minimalist drawing of cartoon characters, Bill Watterson does wonders with facial expressions.
