If “future office” involves anything to do with Calvin, dad may decide not to run.

I realize we’ve still got 80% of the 21st Century left to go, but so far the leading contender for the best invention of the century is the DVR.

Rather than his Dad, Calvin could be talking to Dopey Joe and he needs a Vaccine Covid Retardant.

still have several favorite VCR tapes that were never made into DVDs. I don’t think commercial companies will convert them.

Does anyone know where to get a DVD copy of “The Climb” with Bruce Greenwood (story of Hermann Buhl’s ascent of Nanga Parbat)?

You’re the one who wants the VCR Calvin. How about I give the “Help Wanted” section to you and you figure it out.

Dad’s are like Supreme Court Justices. They’re appointed for life.

I remember one time we went to my dad and asked for something outrageous and he said “No.” Our reply was, “But we voted!” He said, “This is not a democracy, it is a benevolent dictatorship. If you keep flapping your lip, it will not be so benevolent.”

What is he reading? Must be some sort of floppy iPad that hey used in the old days. Much more flexible than the current ones, though.

A benevolent tyranny has long been recognized as the best form of government, if only you could find a truly selfless, benevolent tyrant… power corrupts.

OK, Calvin, we’ll trade in the TV on a VCR. Have fun watching it.
