The Chicago Bears could use Calvin.

They’re going to get hit with many flags.

Calvin has zero athletic ability.

Well, it is Calvinball. Or soon will be. So, why not?

And the opponents win 12 to nothing solely on Calvin’s touchbacks.

And the crowd goes crazy!

Make the best of what you’ve got.

Wasn’t there a pro football placekicker who had a deformed foot which helped him with the kicks?

Calvin just needs to face in the opposite direction when he kicks the ball.

Technically, I don’t think it’s a rule violation to punt with your back to the receiving team. For kickoffs, a kicking tee should solve the problem. (OTOH, he’s Calvin, so maybe not.)

At least you’re able to kick the ball, Calvin as opposed to poor Charlie Brown…

Nifty trick Calvin, it’s sure to confuse the opposite team.

Okay, that’s worth a giggle. I remember playing a game we called “kick ball” in grade school. We didn’t chase it or anything, just a bunch of us got out in a clear area and whoever was “up” would kick the ball high as they could and we would try to catch it. Whoever caught it, if anyone, was then the kicker. It wasn’t complicated but it was sort of fun.

My son’s football team had a kicker who could put backspin on the football. It would bounce back when it hit the ground. This talent came in handy for onside kicks.

I wonder why other kickers aren’t experimenting with this.

Just imagine what he would do with a soccer ball…

As the Sports commentator says: “And that was a -10 yard kick off, folks”… LOL

The wrap for his foot when he kicked the 63 yd FG is (or was) in the Pro Football HOF Canton.

It’s going to have to do until Calvin’s legs get longer than the football.

Looks like a new sport, but I don’t know what you’d call it

Don’t think this will work well for field goals.

Success is all about adjustment to unanticipated circumstances.

That would be a heck of a fake punt play if someone could actually kick it backwards like that. Or is there a rule that it has to proceed forward only?

Go with what works, Calvin.

Maybe that’s how they should do kickoffs in real life.
