All of the gifts are to be found with local artists and craftspeople. If people live far away, buy them a ticket to a concert or play where they live.

Farmer’s Markets and Craft Fairs usually have lots of local artists and crafters booths. Also, local Museums have gift shops that help support the Museum. Happy Holidays!! :-)

Maybe the buyers should have used the same shippers for the incoming “gift” products that they used for the decorations that have been up in the stores since early October?

Take heart. Yes, the mail is slower than before (thanks DeJoy), and there are cargo bottlenecks galore. But that was largely because of earlier Covid outbreaks in countries where much of the cargo was made. But hopefully, as Covid rates drop globally the bottlenecks will ease in 2022 and prices will stabilize. Besides, in economic recoveries demand has almost always outpaced supply until things catch up. But for myself, I will buy local and take whatever presents I’m sending to family in NY to the UPS Store for shipping and will start addressing my cards after I put my decorations up (usually the first weekend of December). Above all, there is more to Christmas than presents after all. There’s also friends and family.

Yup—that’s how online shopping seems a lot of the time. Keep the faith, Cathy.
