I have to admit that my ice cream consumption has increased in the last couple of years

I don’t have ice cream often, but when I do, I don’t even bother with a bowl. I’m picture #3, all the way! :)

My bowl of ice cream was the largest amount with the first COVID. My bowls have been smaller (but still a necessity) as COVID sends a newer version of itself out and about.

Funny — I haven’t had ice cream in months. It was 22 degrees the other day, and I had to — really had to — go out and get ice cream, limping all the way (walking two blocks) with my injured knee.

When you need ice cream, you really need it.

Just getting over COVID/Omicron. I ate way to much ice cream before, but now I don’t crave it like I did. Maybe I’m weird but I’m sticking with it as long as possible. Looking forward to fitting into a smaller size by spring.

Yup—ice cream is one of my major food groups. It’s provided a sense of comfort since COVID started, too. I don’t take eating it to quite the extreme of our favorite nut-job, but the dessert is always tasty.

Just getting over my second booster shot. Flu like symptoms for 24 hours but my shoulder is still swollen and sore.

I don’t regret getting it, knowing that I am one of the unlucky ones that wouldn’t make it if I caught it, but wasn’t expecting it to be so bad.

First three shots were Pfizer – first two nothing but a sore shoulder for a couple of days, but the first Pfizer booster gave me the same flu like symptoms.

Got Moderna for the second booster and still got sick afterwards. Hope we don’t need this every six months.

With cases dropping nationwide (and the death rate, which has always lagged a couple weeks behind the case rate, likely to start dropping as well), I think we are on the right track as it were. I am hopeful that once the spring comes, we can keep moving forward. I bought Girl Scout Cookies yesterday and last Saturday (which, for obvious reasons, I couldn’t buy this time last year). And my church (St. Mark’s Episcopal) started giving out communion again this Sunday (wafers, not bread). Hopefully, by mid year, we can resume bread and wine at communion. But we’ll see.
