For Zenith, we encouraged optic-nerve development with 17th-century masterpiece flashcards..for Gus, we toss a "Mutant Ninja Turtle" book in the crib and hope he doesn't eat it. For Zenith, we stimulated motor skills with sterilized Greek alphabet forms..for Gus we scrape the banana off the remote control. Our son is a portrait of the second-child syndrome! Luke: He would be, but no one's taken his picture in four months.
