In the last recession, fashion was completely flat. Flat hair. Flat shoes. Flat fabrics. Flat colors. Flat makeup. Flat sportsbras. In this recession, everything is un-flat. Wild hair! Extreme heels! Textured fabrics! Curvy cuts! Eye-popping colors! Plumped lips and push-up lingerie! Once we were flat broke. Now we're 3D broke.

There must be something that looks nice and is comfortable, somewhere in between those two extremes - of course, closer to the flat broke than to the 3D broke. Buy at thrift stores, maybe?
