Cathy: Why are we eating chocolate pretzels with Christmas sprinkles......And DON'T say it's because we don't want to hurt the giver's feelings, mom! No one gave these to us. They were a completely meaningless, holiday clearance, checkout-line impulse buy! ...And don't they deserve to be loved after sitting there with their little hopes up for so long that someone would choose them?? Mom: At least I can sleep at night knowing I raised a compassionate child.

Mmmmm… chocolate pretzels! You need to mix them with a bag of yogurt pretzels and a bag of butterscotch pretzels and they’d be perfect!

Actually Susan, there is such a thing–Samuel Adams Chocholate Boch. But I see that more as Irving and his dad rather than Cathy and her mom.
Yes Mom, you raised a compassionate child…who also has a food issue.

I could think of a good dessert with those chocolate pretzels.

Chocolate malt makes the best beers!
I hate to say, I can be that way sometimes. Not so much with foods, but like a toy that’s been passed over, the last one in the bin, etc. The Charlie Brown tree syndrome. Big time.

Why is Cathy eating pretzels dipped in chocolate? To set up the next three months of “diet” strips, of course…

And the chocolate pretzels feel so “loved” after being chewed up and swallowed.
