Good sight Jascat! Sounds as if Cathy’s Mom was a singing instructor (or Band!)

At least she’s not still harping about wanting grandchildren!

And this Mom always thought Mother’s Day was a DAY, where did this week bit come from?

I think it’s a great idea! Mother’s Day goes by much too fast. A week… now that sounds good.

It’s a warm-up to next Sunday, Avolunteer.

And mothers are like Cathy’s mother when it comes to their kids, no matter how old their kids are. I remember the last time I went home to visit my mother (for my brother’s funeral a couple of years ago.) I had a rather nasty cold at the time, and she went into full MOM mode on me: “Go blow your nose! Go take something for that cold! Why aren’t you wearing a coat?”

Funny thing is, I was 46 years old at the time. But I had come to understand a long time ago that a mother starts worrying about her child from the time she finds out that she’s pregnant, so I’d just gotten accustomed to her being a worrywart. So, instead of arguing, I just meekly said, “Yes, Mother,” and did as I was told – rolling my eyes all the way!

Why don’t Cathy’s parents just pack up and move in too? Then all 6 of them plus the dogs can get bossed around every which way to Sunday.

Maybe the MIL’s can hatch a plan of their own, go to the fertility clinic and get the shots, and make the babies FOR Cathy & Irving. Then they can raise them too, all under one psycho roof.

Mother’s Day week? Is it Mother’s Day AGAIN?

The way it seems to me, as a Guy, is that every “Day” is actually a Week, and every “Week” is actually a Month, to a female. When my mom turned 75 she actually had a “Jubilee Year” (and she wasn’t 100% kidding!).

The other thing about Guys is that, if you asked them which week was Mothers Day Week, they’d guess the week in which Mothers Day falls - or the week starting with Mothers Day. They would be wrong. (Because what the females say, goes.) Even weekly supermarket circulars have their Memorial Day sales ending the day or two before the actual Memorial Day.

Wish I’d listened more to that advice when I had it. I spend a lot of time trying to improve my posture because I dance and need a straight back and a flat tummy – much easier if you start when you are little.

If both of the gms got preggly at the same time, they could have the equivalent of twins. What a blessed event that would be.
