The Coping Skills Support Group must teach you how to keep your hands from involuntarily wringing her neck.

She may mean well, but all that shows is how wrong she thinks her daughter always is, apparently about everything. That’s a lot of hints in that pile.

This one is so much like my mom. :-) She sends clippings all the time, which I keep because I know she means well and I’ll miss them one day.

Cathy! Learn from your mother! If she’s giving you all of those “helpful” clippings, I’m sure there’s a pile of them she’d love to receive in return! Old age remedies, memory games, weight control for the older body… It could be FUN.

I don’t know how it happened, but I’ve turned into Cathy’s Mother!! Well, not as bad and, honestly, I’ve been like her for at least 30 years ( my daughter is 33 and my son 37 !), but we Mothers do so many of those things because we love our children with all our hearts! We share all those clippings, stories, past-experiences because we want to try & help them avoid having to go through so many of the same things we went through. Or, in many instances, help them know that what they’re going through is “normal” - give them another perspective - “help them help themselves”. Hey, what else is a Jewish Mother for????
