I have encountered many, too durn many, computer ‘consultants’ who, within 5 minutes of ‘examination’ started a list of ‘must’ replacements. I had one client where the ‘consultant’ advised replacing the power cord…
The single valid recommendation that I always agreed with was if the computer does not start at all, check the power supply!

This is only too true. Get a kick @ss system, and in less than 3 months, it’s been superceded.
