Oh Irving…even a scoundrel knows to wait to tell the truth, until muuuch later. And first make sure she doesn’t have a potential weapon in her hands. We’ll review this lesson again, many times I’m sure.-Good morning, Aaron, Susan, GretchensMom, Billy & all the other Cathy nuts!
For Mom! (and other’s if you need a bit of coaching):
One time only:
If you see only your file names with no file type (the 3 characters after the dot), you need to tell Windows to show file types. Examples:
MyTermPaper.doc instead of just MyTermPaperMyFinances.xls instead of just MyFinancesTrickOrTreat.jpg instead of just TrickOrTreat
To turn on file types:
See this article: http://www.fileinfo.com/help/windows_show_extensions
I. Save an image to use as an avatar
1. Search for an image2. When you see one you like, click on it to bring it into clear view on your screen.3. Right-click and choose “save image as” (save LINK as won’t make an image file)4. Select a folder of your choice, open it, and click Save5. This will save the image as a .jpg or .gif or a .png file.
II. Add an image as an avatar in GoComics
1. Click on your user name on the upper right of your screen2. Click Edit Profile under your current avatar3. Click Update Avatar4. Click Browse5. Go to your folder with your avatar and open it6. If successful, work your way back to your main GoComics screen
This will also change all your previous comments avatars, not just comments from then on. Not a big deal since you’re only concerned with your current avatar.
Feel free to copy/paste this into a document. Practice makes perfect. :-)
Years ago I met the real Cathy at a local shopping center for a book signing. She was real nice and answered some questions. When somebody asked if there was a real Irving, she suddenly turned red and said, “next question”. I wonder to this day if he was real, but guess that if the others were based on real people, Irving probably is. Art imitates life or is it life imitating art? lol

That’s funny, gmforde! :-) I’d probably be a bit embarrassed also knowing what we know about Irving…

There are plenty of “Irvings” — the question is whether one of them is playing the same part in Cathy’s life.
